There are four ULSTEIN designed and built A101 class Ocean Going Anchor Handling Tugs, all built in 2002-3. These are the NORMAND MARINER, NORMAND MASTER, OLYMPIC HERCULES and OLYMPIC PEGASUS.
These vessels are built to handle anchors and towing in deep water, the Handling of deep mooring lines, the operation of ROV's, the trenching of the sea bed for pipe laying, handling and installation of sub-sea construction blocks and equipment to name a few of their capabilities. With excellent sea keeping especially in harsh Arctic and North Atlantic weather, very good accommodation for crew, and the ability to carry large amounts of both liquid and deck cargo, these vessels are truly very versatile and well designed.
This 1:72 scale hull comes with anchor positions, as well as the bow and stern thruster positions moulded in. This hull has been built using Normand Mariner plans.
1,140mm long and 278mm wide.
