The Velarde was built from 1957-1959 in Hamburg, Germany. Velarde was a 2866 Gross Registered tonne refrigerated fruit carrier owned and operated by MacAndrews & Co. Ltd of London.
The Velarde had three other names in its career, in 1969 SAILOR PRINCE, 1970 ZENIT, 1973 NADIR, then in 1987 the ship was broken up.
This 1:72 scale hull comes with shaft exit position, rudder position and anchor positions moulded in.
A set of plans is also included with the hull.
Hull is 1,443mm long and 198mm wide.
