Japanese AKIZUKI Class Destroyers

Considered the best Japanese Destroyers of WW2, 12 Akizuki class destroyers were built from 1942 onwards. These ships were designed to fight much larger ships than themselves, but also carried a very good anti-aircraft armament by Japanese standards of the day. These ships carried the excellent 3.9 inch twin gun turrets and the long lance torpedoes and were the first Japanese ships to receive radar. 6 of these ships were lost in action and the other 6 were scrapped soon after the war. The bow shape varied between ships, this hull is made using Akizuki plans.
This 1:72 scale hull comes with ships plating, shaft exit positions, 'A' bracket positions, rudder position and anchor positions moulded in.
1,864mm long and 161mm wide.
